About Me:
My name is Andrew Lokeni, but I am known to most as Drew. I currently reside in Salt Lake City, Utah. I am of South Pacific Island decent and come from a big Samoan family of 8 kids. I started my journey as a Videographer from being the designated family member behind the camera capturing family memories during vacations and special occasions. Capturing those moments grew into a passion that has now become my career. I have worked hard on perfecting my skills in this profession and i am constantly looking for ways to grow my knowledge and experience.
My family plays a huge role in my life. I come from a family of 5 brothers and 3 sisters, to which I am the youngest boy and the second youngest overall. My siblings will say that I have the "youngest" syndrome of being a spoiled child, and very much loved by all. My parents originate from Western Samoa. My parents are my biggest supporters, from whom I've learned and cultivated the meaning of hard work and the drive to achieve my life goals.
In September 2016, I finally married my High School sweetheart Carrie after dating for 7 years. She has become one of my main supporters throughout my journey and would not have been able to have my career without her sacrifices. I am very fortunate to have her as my partner in this life and for all eternity. We have 2 very beautiful little girls that we adore and love so much. They are the reason I continue to perfect my craft and work so hard.
I have been an avid basketball player ever since I learned how to dribble a basketball at the age of 6. If my days are not filled with editing or behind a camera at an event, I am most likely at a basketball meet or playing in a small league around the Salt Lake valley. I love the outdoors, and Utah summer days spent at the lake are my absolute favorite. I love to travel and I anticipate travel videos to become a staple option in the future for my videography business.
There is something, though, in capturing a beaming bride, a nervous groom, toting guests, and intricate details at a wedding that has really brought out my creative passion for videography. Throughout the entire process from meeting the bride and groom for the first time to capturing their send off at the end of their wedding, nothing beats the moment my clients get to smile and relive their wedding day in a video I created with their families and future generations to come. Knowing that my work or what I have created can become a treasure to others is what makes my job worth it.
